Police have arrested a 29-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman for their suspected involvement in a case of Armed Robbery with Hurt reported at Blk 426, Clementi Avenue 3.
On 22 January 2015 at about 2.09am, a 33-year-old woman reported to the Police that she was stabbed while being robbed of her handbag and wallet containing $300, by an unknown man near Blk 426, Clementi Avenue 3. Following the report, officers from the Clementi Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the identities of the suspects and arrested them in Geylang on 30 January 2015. The stolen handbag and wallet were recovered and seized as case exhibits.
The two suspects will be charged in Court on 31 January 2015 at 9.00 am for the offence of Armed Robbery with hurt under Section 394 read with 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 20 years and up to 12 strokes of cane.
