Police have arrested 6 men aged between 17 to 21 for trespassing.    

 

2          On 30 January 2015 at about 7.53 pm, the police responded to a call informing that 6 men had been found on the rooftop of Shaw Towers at 100 Beach Road. Investigations revealed that tampering marks were found on the secured door leading to the roof top. All 6 men were subsequently arrested by officers from Central Police Division.

 

3          Investigations are ongoing and anyone convicted for an offence of  Criminal Trespass on Property under Section 447 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be liable on conviction to an imprisonment which may extend to 3 months or with a find not exceeding $1,500 or with both.

 

4          Police would like to advise members of the public against trespassing into private premises especially on going to restricted places such as the building rooftops which may pose a danger to themselves and others. Public are also advised to seek prior approval or permission from the building owners, should they need to access their premises.
