Police have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection to a case of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Dangerous Weapons.
On 25 September 2015, at about 7.00am, Police received a call informing that a woman was injured in a residential unit at Bedok South Avenue 3. It was established that the 48-year-old female victim was believed to have been attacked by the suspect and was subsequently conveyed to hospital.
Officers from Bedok Division conducted extensive enquiries and arrested the suspect within 12 hours.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 26 September 2015 for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Dangerous Weapons under Section 326 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
Any person convicted for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Dangerous Weapons may be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to fine or to caning.
