Four Arrested In Enforcement Operation Against Gambling Activities

The Police have arrested four men, aged between 59 and 75, in an enforcement operation conducted by Jurong Police Division, targeting gambling activities along Bukit Batok Street 31 on 3 December 2019.

During the operation, the men were arrested for gaming in public under the Common Gaming House Act. Cash and gambling paraphernalia were seized.

Investigations are ongoing.

Under the Common Gaming House Act, any person gaming in public shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or an imprisonment term not exceeding 6 months or both.

The Police take a serious view on all forms of illegal gaming activities and will continue to take tough enforcement action against those who are involved in such activities.
