The Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of theft from motor vehicles.
On 27 March 2020 at about 2.05am, the Police received a report from a victim whose handphone was stolen from his vehicle parked along Lorong 20 Geylang.
Through investigations and with the aid of in-car cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day. It was further revealed that the man had stolen from another vehicle on 9 March 2020 along Lorong Bachok.
The man will be charged in court on 30 March 2020 with theft from vehicle under Section 379 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 years, or a fine, or both.
