For applications that had been submitted before 10 December 2018 but remain unpaid on or after 10 December 2018, the usual online mode of payment will not be available, and payment can ONLY be made through AXS services using the application acknowledgement number.


For applications that are submitted on or after 10 December 2018, both the usual online mode of payments and AXS services will be available.

  1. You are about to begin the application for a security officer licence via the Security Services Gateway (SSG).
  2. Please take note that only Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident and Malaysian Work Permit Holder need to apply.
  3. REMINDER - Malaysian Work Permit Holders, please submit your application together with a scanned copy of your Malaysian identity card, passport, Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC) and Work Permit within 5 working days.
    • The CGC must not be more than 3 months from the date of issue.
    • You should scan and attach the documents to your application. Failing which, the application will be rejected and there will be no refund.
  4. For all applicants, please provide a valid telephone number or email address.
  5. Your attention is drawn to Section 21(7) of the Private Security Industry Act which states:

Any person who, in making an application for a licence -

    • Makes any statement or furnishes any particulars, information or document which he knows to be false or does not believe to be true; or
    • By the intentional suppression of any material fact, furnishes any information which is misleading in material particular,

Shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.

  1. Applicants are to note that under Section 21(5)(a) of the Private Security Industry Act, the licensing officer may refuse to grant a licence if it is in his opinion that applicant is not a fit or proper person to hold a security officer licence.
