Woman Arrested For Criminal Breach Of Trust By Employee Involving More Than $220,000 Of Companies Fund

The Police have arrested a 52-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in a case of criminal breach of trust by employee. The woman was previously employed as a finance manager of a company dealing in industrial safety products.

Between May 2017 to April 2020, the woman allegedly misappropriated the companies’ monies amounting to more than $220,000. The monies were believed to be payment made by the companies’ clients.

Through investigations, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the woman and arrested her on 8 June 2020.

The woman will be charged in court on 9 June 2020 for the offence of criminal breach of trust by employee, which is punishable with an imprisonment term that may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
