The Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

On 12 August 2020 at about 8.00 pm, the Police received a report that a 19-year-old female victim had been molested by an unknown man at the lift lobby of a block along Teck Whye Lane. 

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 17 August 2020.

The man will be charged in court on 19 August 2020 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term up to 2 years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
