Two Men Arrested For Criminal Trespass And Theft In Dwelling With Common Intention

The Police have arrested two men, aged 20 and 22, for their suspected involvement in a case of criminal trespass and theft in dwelling with common intention.

On 7 January 2021 at about 1.15pm, the Police were alerted to a case where two bottles of alcohol and two cans of soda amounting to $194 were stolen from a commercial unit in Sentosa.

Through investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identities of both men and arrested them on 8 January 2021.

Police investigations are ongoing. Under Section 447 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, the offence of criminal trespass carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three months, a fine which may extend to $1,500, or both. Under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, the offence of theft in dwelling carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
