Man Arrested For Public Nuisance In Committing A Series Of Mischief To Vehicles

The Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of public nuisance in committing a series of mischief to vehicles.

On 19 November 2024 at about 12.50pm, the Police were alerted to a case of mischief at a multi-storey carpark along Woodlands Drive 14. The car owner discovered that her vehicle’s four tyres had been deflated and there was a flyer placed on the vehicle’s windscreen. Preliminary investigations revealed that at least four other vehicles in the vicinity were affected by the same act.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within eight hours of the report.

The man will be charged in court on 21 November 2024 with the offence of public nuisance under Section 290 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 months, a fine of up to $2,000, or with both.
