Two Men Arrested For Voluntarily Causing Hurt By Dangerous Weapon With Common Intention Within Four Hours

The Police have arrested two men, aged 38 and 39, for their suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon with common intention.

On 11 November 2025 at about 6.50pm, the Police received calls for assistance along Lorong 24 Geylang. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men and a couple, who were all known to each other, purportedly got into a dispute and the men allegedly assaulted the couple with a baton. The couple sustained injuries and were conveyed to the hospital.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division and Police Operations Command Centre established the identities of the men and arrested them within four hours.

The men will be charged in court on 13 November 2025 with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon with common intention under Section 324 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, a fine, caning, or a combination of such punishments.

The Police have zero tolerance for such brazen acts of violence and blatant disregard the law. We will spare no effort to apprehend such offenders and will deal with them sternly in accordance with the law.
