Conferment Of The Distinguished Service Order On Inspector-General Of The Royal Malaysia Police Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohamad Fuzi Bin Harun

Her Excellency, Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore, confers the Distinguished Service Order on Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohamad Fuzi Bin Harun, Royal Malaysia Police

 

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohamad Fuzi Bin Harun (Tan Sri Fuzi) of the Royal Malaysia Police, was conferred the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Distinguished Service Order) by President Halimah Yacob on 15 April 2019 at the Istana State Room.

Tan Sri Fuzi was conferred the Distinguished Service Order in recognition of his role in strengthening the working relationship between the Royal Malaysia Police and Singapore Police Force, as well as his contributions to the security of Singapore and the region through his leadership of the Royal Malaysia Police in countering the threats of terrorism, drugs and other transnational crimes. 

Under Tan Sri Fuzi’s leadership, the longstanding friendship between the Royal Malaysia Police and Singapore Police Force was substantially enhanced. Both forces strengthened cooperation in the areas of investigation, information and intelligence exchanges, as well as capacity building and training.

“The Singapore Police Force and Royal Malaysia Police have forged strong bilateral ties with a common resolve to combat transnational crime. The Singapore Police Force will continue to work closely with the Royal Malaysia Police in fighting new and emerging threats,” said Commissioner of Police Hoong Wee Teck.

Prior to the conferment ceremony, Tan Sri Fuzi made separate courtesy calls on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, and Commissioner Hoong.
