Traffic Arrangements For National Day Parade 2019 Preview 2

The National Day Parade 2019 Preview 2 will be held Saturday, on 3 August 2019.

To facilitate the event, the following roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic during the stipulated periods:

3. Slip road leading from Nicoll Highway into Republic Avenue

4. Slip road leading from Republic Avenue into Nicoll Highway

5. Slip road leading from Republic Avenue into Beach Road

6. Carriageway of Beach Road in the direction of Crawford Street (between lamp post 90 and Crawford Street)

7. Carriageway of Republic Boulevard in the direction of Raffles Avenue (between Republic Boulevard and Raffles Boulevard)

8. St Andrew’s Road

9. Connaught Drive

10. Parliament Place (between Supreme Court Lane and St Andrew’s Road)

11. Fullerton Road (between Connaught Drive and Fullerton Road)

12. Coleman Street (between Supreme Court Lane and St Andrew’s Road)

13. Supreme Court Lane

During the closure, access will only be granted to police and emergency vehicles. Auxiliary police officers and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) marshals will be deployed at the affected junctions to assist and direct motorists. Public bus services affected by the closures will be diverted. Those travelling to these affected areas are strongly advised to use public transport.

Traffic delays are expected along Raffles Boulevard, Republic Boulevard, Bras Basah Road, North Bridge Road, Stamford Road, Nicoll Highway and Bayfront Avenue. Motorists are advised to plan their route early and avoid these roads.

Motorists proceeding to Suntec City and Marina Square from Crawford Street and Ophir Road are advised to use alternate routes via ECP Rochor Road or Bayfront Avenue. Those travelling to the vicinity of Suntec City and Marina Square are advised to use public transport.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately and/or causing obstruction will be towed.

During the event period, the public is also strongly advised to refrain from conducting any aerial activities (i.e. flying of unmanned aircraft, kite-flying and hoisting of tethered balloons) in the area and its vicinity.
