NDP 2026: Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!

From marching with pride and stirring musical performances to behind-the-scenes security operations, SPF officers played a key role in the NDP celebrations.

As Singapore commemorated its 61st birthday, this year’s National Day Parade (NDP), held on 9 August 2026, inspired audiences with its theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond.”

After a decade, the NDP returned to the National Stadium.

Performers from all walks of life celebrated against an immersive backdrop of special effects, drones and lighting technology, embodying Singapore’s enduring drive to surpass the ordinary.

As always, Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers put their best foot forward, participating in the Parade itself and working behind-the-scenes to secure the event venue.

Marching Forward with Honour

Standing proudly alongside their counterparts from various uniformed services, the SPF Guard of Honour (GOH) Contingent marched in perfect synchrony.

This year’s GOH Contingent featured officers from the Training Command, Public Transport Security Command, Operations Department, Airport Police Division and Ang Mo Kio Police Division.

Their precise movements – perfected from months of practice – underscored their unwavering commitment to discipline in service of the nation.

Not to be outdone were our other officers at the NDP. Our talented SPF Band also put up a stirring performance.

On Guard Beyond the Spotlight

Behind the scenes were about 1,800 additional officers working hard to ensure a smooth and secure evening. They conducted security screenings, managed crowds and directed traffic to allow spectators to enjoy the celebrations with peace of mind.

One Nation, One Spirit

As the NDP drew to a close, Singaporeans stood up to recite the National Pledge (celebrating its 60th anniversary this year) and sing the National Anthem. The celebrations paid tribute to our nation’s spirit of resilience and reaffirmed our officers’ commitment in reaching ever higher to keep Singapore safe and secure. Happy 61st birthday, Singapore!
