Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of housebreaking and theft in Choa Chu Kang.

 

2          On 24 January 2015, the victim reported that his provision shop in Choa Chu Kang Ave 2 had been broken into and an assortment of mobile phone top-up cards (with a combined value amounting to about S$400) and cash amounting to about S$500 were stolen.

 

3          Officers from Jurong Police Division carried out extensive investigations and arrested the duo at about 2pm on 12 February 2015 and 12.20am on 13 February 2015 respectively.

 

4          The two suspects will be charged in court on 14 February 2014 for Housebreaking and Theft by Night with common intention under Section 457 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with imprisonment for a term of up to 14 years and a fine.
