Police have arrested 4 men, aged between 15 and 22 for suspected involvement in a case of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt reported on 6 March 2015.
On 6 March 2015 at about 3.40am, Police received a call for assistance at Blk 201 Tampines Street 21. Upon Police’s arrival, it was established that a 40 year old man was involved in a dispute with the four suspects and was assaulted by them. Within 20 hours of the incident, the identities of the suspects were established and they were subsequently arrested on the same day.
The 4 suspects will be charged in Court on 7 March 2015 for an offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt under Section 325 of the Penal Code Chapter 224. If convicted, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine or to caning.
