Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

2         On 23 February 2015, at about 7.02pm, a 17-year-old woman lodged a police report informing that she was molested by a man while waiting for a bus along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4. Upon receipt of the information, officers from Jurong Police Division and the Police Public Transport Security Command initiated meticulous investigations to ascertain the identity and whereabouts of the suspect. He was subsequently arrested on 9 March 2015 at about 4.45pm Lorong 2 Toa Payoh.

 

3          The suspect will be charged in Court on 11 March 2015 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted he may be jailed up to two years, fined, and caned.
