Police have arrested a 59-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of Outrage of Modesty onboard a bus.
On 17 Mar 2015 at about 1.16pm, Police received a report from a 20-year-old victim that she was molested by a man while in a bus at Pasir Ris. Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division and Public Transport Security Command conducted probes and arrested the suspect at Changi Airport on 19 March 2015. Investigations against the man are ongoing.
An offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries a jail term up to 2 years, or fined and also be liable to caning, upon conviction.
