Advisory on Security Checks at the Lying in State

To ensure safety and security at the Lying in State, security checks on persons and belongings will be conducted before entry into Parliament House. Walk-through metal detector gantries for persons and x-ray machines for personal items will be used. The public are advised not to bring along bags (for example haversacks) and metallic items (for example, pens, nail files), which may slow down the process of security clearance.
