Police have arrested 2 men, aged 62 and 51, for their suspected involvement in separate cases of Outrage of Modesty reported on 23 March 2015 and 7 April 2015 respectively.
In the first case, on 23 March 2015, a 26-year-old woman lodged a police report informing that she was molested by a man while travelling in the train. Upon receiving the information, officers from Jurong Police Division and the Police Public Transport Security Command initiated meticulous investigations to ascertain the identity of the suspect. The 62-year-old man was subsequently arrested on 14 April 2015 at Jurong West Avenue 5.
In the second case, a 13-year-old girl lodged a police report informing that she was molested by a man at a bus stop along Bukit Batok Street 25 on 7 April 2015. Following the report, officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries leading to the identity and whereabouts of the suspect. The 51-year-old man was subsequently arrested on 13 April 2015 at Clementi Avenue 5.
Investigations against both men are ongoing.
