Police have arrested two men and a woman, aged between 21 and 22, for a case of attempted armed robbery with hurt reported at Lim Chu Kang Chinese Cemetery.
2. On 14 May 2015 at about 12.15 am, a 56-year-old man reported to the Police that he was injured by three persons who had attempted to rob him in his taxi at Lim Chu Kang Chinese Cemetery. Officers from Jurong Police Division then conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the identities of the suspects. Within four hours upon receiving the report, officers arrested the suspects at Jalan Boon Lay on the same day at about 4 am.
3. The suspects will be charged in the Court on 15 May 2015 for the offence of Armed Robbery With Hurt under Section 394 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, each faces an imprisonment term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
