Police have arrested a 47-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of housebreaking and theft reported at Gul Avenue.
2 On 22 June 2015 at about 1.30 pm, Police were alerted to a case of housebreaking at a warehouse located at Gul Avenue. Three hundred cartons of milk powder amounting to about S$80,000 were stolen from the premises. Officers from Jurong Division conducted intensive investigations and arrested the man on 23 June 2015 at about 11.50 am. All the cartons of milk powder were recovered following his arrest.
3 The suspect will be charged in Court on 25 June 2015 for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which carries a maximum imprisonment term of 14 years.
