Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of Outrage of Modesty.
2 On 26 May 2015, at about 5.51pm, a 15-year-old female victim lodged a Police report informing that she was molested by a man while travelling on a bus along Bukit Batok Central. Subsequently, Police received another report lodged by another 14-year-old female victim informing that she had been molested on the same bus by the same suspect.
3 Upon receiving the information, officers from Jurong Police Division and the Police Public Transport Security Command initiated meticulous investigations to ascertain the identity of the suspect. He was subsequently arrested on 25 June 2015 at about 10am at Chinatown MRT Station.
4 The suspect will be charged in Court on 27 June 2015 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter. If convicted he may be jailed up to two years, fined, and caned.
