Police have arrested a 43-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of break-in reported at a coffee shop located at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 1.

On 6 October 2015 at about 4.20am, the victim discovered that his coffee shop had been broken into. Cash and cigarettes worth $4000 were also missing from the coffee shop.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Division conducted extensive investigations to establish the suspect's identity and arrested him on 8 October 2015 at about 3.45pm at Blk 226A Ang Mo Kio Ave 1. More than 280 packets of cigarettes were seized as case exhibits.

The suspect will be charged in Court 26 on 10 October 2015 for an offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 read with Section 458A of the Penal code Chapter 224 which carries a maximum of 14 years imprisonment with caning.
