Man Arrested For Outrage of Modesty within 24 hours

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for the offence of Outrage of Modesty.

On 3 November 2015, an outrage of modesty case was reported at Clementi Avenue 4. Upon receiving the report, officers from Clementi Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested the suspect on 4 November 2015 at Clementi, within 24 hours of the report.

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. For the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code Chapter 224, the suspect may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
