The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for the offence of Outrage of Modesty.
On 27 November 2015 at about 11.05pm, the 25-year-old female victim lodged a police report informing that she had been molested by a man while travelling on the MRT train from Admiralty MRT Station to Yishun MRT Station earlier in the day.
Upon receiving the report, officers from Jurong Division conducted extensive ground enquires and arrested the suspect in the vicinity of Admiralty MRT station on 7 December 2015.
Investigations against the subject are ongoing. For the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code Chapter 224, the suspect may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
