Scam Prevention Wall Mural Design Competition

The Scam Prevention Wall Mural Design Competition aims to engage the youths with meaningful art activities and at the same time, to keep them away from negative influences during the December school holidays. The murals will also help to spread scam prevention messages and promote crime prevention awareness among the residents. This is a 3 month-long youth engagement project.

The competition involved youths aged between 13 and 21, forming a group of four to participate in the competition. The groups submitted their mural artwork concepts which were then judged by various stakeholders. Five artwork concepts were chosen as winners out of which the top 3 winning teams were invited to paint their artworks on the walls allocated to them. The champion winning team comprised of four youths aged from 14 to 15 from West Spring Secondary School.

The 5 winning teams were awarded prizes during the launch of the Scam Prevention Wall Mural. The prizes were sponsored by the National Crime Prevention Council.

The walls painted with the scam advisory murals are found at the following locations:

Blk 544 Bukit Panjang Ring Road, near lift lobby and RC Centre (Winning Design)

Blk 180 Lompang Road near RC Centre (2nd placing)

Blk 543 Bukit Panjang Ring Road, near lift lobby (3rd placing)
