The Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for suspected involvement in a case of Robbery reported along Thomson Road.

On 1 March 2016 at about 11.00 am, a 27-year-old woman reported that she was restrained and robbed of her mobile phone by an unknown man along Thomson Road. Upon receiving the report, officers from Tanglin Division conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the suspect’s identity and swiftly arrested him at New Upper Changi Road on the same day at about 4.20pm.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 3 March 2016 with the offence of Robbery under Section 392 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 6 strokes.
