The Police have arrested a 48-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of housebreaking and theft in Jurong.

Between 10 April and 11 April 2016, four cases of break-ins were reported in Jurong East and Jurong West housing estates. Valuables such as laptop, mobile phone, watch, wallet, and cash were found missing from the units. Following the reports, officers from Clementi Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and were able to establish the identity of the suspect through POLCAM footages. He was subsequently arrested at Blk 373 Jurong East St 32 on 11 April 2016 at about 9.45 pm.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 13 April 2016 with the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by day under Section 454 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years.
