Police have arrested a 28-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 13 April 2016, a 33-year-old female victim lodged a Police report stating that she was molested by a man at Block 979B Buangkok Crescent. Through extensive ground enquires and investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Division established the identity of the 28-year-old suspect and arrested him at Block 979C Buangkok Crescent on 18 April 2016.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 19 April 2016 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term up to 2 years, or fined and also be liable to caning, upon conviction.
