The Police have arrested a 47-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of motor vehicle theft along Turf Club Road.
On 30 April 2016 at about 11.52 am, the Police received a report that a car was stolen from Turf Club Road. Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Tanglin Division managed to trace the suspect swiftly and arrested him at East Coast Park within 12 hours.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 2 May 2016 with the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle punishable under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a maximum jail term of seven years’ imprisonment and shall also be liable to a fine.
