The Police have arrested a 45-year-old man, who is believed to have been involved in a case of robbery with hurt at the vicinity of Redhill Close. 

 

On 1 May 2016 at about 1.10 pm, a 72-year-old male victim reported to the Police that he had been robbed of his wallet by a man at the lift lobby. The victim also reported that he was hurt in the process.

 

Officers from Clementi Division arrived at the crime scene and conducted a coordinated search in the vicinity of Redhill Close. With the description of the suspect provided by the victim, witness and images retrieved from Police cameras (POLCAMs), the officers managed to trace and arrest the suspect at his residence at Redhill Close at about 3.00 pm the same day.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 3 May 2016 with an offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
