The Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of snatch theft reported along Braddell Road on 18 May 2016.
On 18 May 2016 at about 2.54 pm, a 48-year-old woman reported that an unknown man on bicycle had snatched and fled with her mobile phone while she was at the bus stop along Braddell Road at about 6.40 am.
Through extensive ground enquiries and follow up investigations, officers from Tanglin Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on 22 May 2016.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 May 2016 with an offence of Snatch Theft under Section 356 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than one year and not more than 7 years, and shall also be liable to caning.
