The Police have arrested a 49 year old man, who is believed to be involved in a case of robbery with hurt at vicinity of Tampines Street 24.
On 25 May 2016 at about 5.30am, a 56-year-old male victim reported to the Police that he had been robbed of his wallet by a man at the void deck of Blk 230B, Tampines Street 24. The victim was also reported that he was hurt in the process.
With the description of the suspect provided by the victim and images retrieved from Police cameras (POLCAMs), officers from Bedok Division managed to trace and arrest the suspect at about 4.00pm the same day.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 27 May 2016 with an offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.
