The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of break-in at a coffeeshop in Bukit Batok.

 

On 12 June 2016, Police received a report about a break-in at a coffeeshop along Bukit Batok Street 23 where cash and cigarettes were stolen. Officers from Jurong Division conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him at Bukit Batok Street 23 on 17 June 2016 at about 3.30 pm. Some of the stolen items were also recovered.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 18 June 2016 with the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which carries a maximum imprisonment term of 14 years.
