The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man who is believed to have committed a series of obscene acts in Yishun.

 

Between 6 May 2016 and 14 June 2016, the Police received reports of obscene acts involving an unknown man in Yishun. Officers from Yishun North and Yishun South Neighbourhood Police Centres conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the identity of the suspect, and arrested him along Yishun Ring Road on 16 June 2016. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to be involved in at least four cases of obscene acts in Yishun.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 18 June 2016 with the offence of Obscene Act, under Section 294 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable to a fine, imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or both.
