The Singapore Police Force (SPF) will launch a new e-service for the application of Certificate of Clearance (COC) on 21 June 2016. This new e-service provides more convenience and saves time for the individuals.
A COC is issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the SPF to eligible applicant who needs such a certification, as required by foreign government authorities or institutions, to affirm that the applicant has no criminal conviction in Singapore within a stipulated period of time. Currently, an individual is required to submit the COC application in person at the Police Cantonment Complex. With the new e-service, an individual can apply, pay and book an appointment for fingerprinting via the Internet conveniently.
With effect from 21 June 2016, the SPF will discontinue walk-in applications for the COC at the Police Cantonment Complex. Applications for the COC must be made via the SPF e-services website at http://www.police.gov.sg/e-services , under “Certificate of Clearance”.
For more information on other e-services, please visit the SPF e-services website.
