The Police received a call requesting for assistance at a pub along Boat Quay on 13 July 2016 at about 5.28am. Upon arrival, it was established that a 55-year-old man had been conveyed unconscious to Singapore General Hospital. He was pronounced dead on 16 July 2016 at about 4.48pm.
On 18 July 2016, Police arrested a 47-year-old man in connection to the case.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 19 July 2016 with the offence of Murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries the death penalty.
