The Police have arrested four men, aged between 15 and 22, for their suspected involvement in a case of Robbery with Hurt which occurred at Yung An Road on 31 July 2016.
On 1 August 2016, a 37-year-old victim reported that he was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone and ring along Yung An Road by four unknown men. With the aid of Police cameras and through extensive ground enquiries, the officers from Jurong Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 10 August 2016.
The 15-year-old suspect will be charged in Court on 11 August 2016 while the remaining three suspects will be charged on 12 August 2016. For the offence of Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, they face an imprisonment term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane, if convicted.
