The body of the late Mr S R Nathan will lie in state at Parliament House on Thursday, 25 August 2016, from 10.00am to 10.00pm for members of public to pay their last respects.
Road & Lane Closures
The following lanes and roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the stipulated timings (please refer to Annex A for a map of the affected roads):

Bus Service Diversion
Due to the road closures, eight public bus services plying the area around Parliament House will be temporarily diverted on Thursday, August 25.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) would like to advise and seek commuters’ understanding to expect delays in bus journeys along the affected routes due to the road closures.

The Police will be conducting road blocks and security checks in and around the vicinity of Parliament House during this period. Members of the public are advised to comply fully with instructions of the Police at these check points. Police officers and Auxiliary Police Officers will be stationed at all affected road junctions to direct traffic. Traffic delays may be expected and motorists are advised to plan their route early. Members of the public going to the Parliament House are advised to take public transport.
During the road closures, access will only be granted to Police and emergency vehicles. The car park at Parliament House will be closed during this period. Only vehicles with authorised labels are allowed to enter the car park. Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles parked illegally or causing obstruction will be towed.
On behalf of State Funeral Organising Committee (SFOC), we would like to also advise members of the public who wish to pay their respects to the late Mr S R Nathan at the Parliament House to proceed on foot to join the queue at the Padang via Saint Andrew’s Road (please refer to the map enclosed).
