The Police have arrested two men aged 19 and 21, for their suspected involvement in several cases of Theft in the Bukit Batok housing estate.
Between 20 June 2016 and 22 Aug 2016, the Police received a few reports whereby the properties placed outside residential units were stolen.
Following the reports, officers from Jurong Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations. The efforts of the officers paid off when the identities of the subjects were ascertained and they were arrested on 31 August 2016 along Bukit Batok Street 32.
The suspects will be charged in Court on 2 September 2016 with the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they will face an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
