The Police have arrested two men, aged 18 and 24, for their suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery with hurt.
On 14 October 2016 at about 8 am, a 54-year-old man reported to the Police that he had been assaulted and robbed of his bag by two men at Lorong 10 Geylang.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of Police cameras (POLCAMs), officers from Bedok Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested the 24-year-old and the 18-year-old men at about 2 pm and 3.40pm respectively.
Both suspects will be charged in Court on 15 October 2016 with the offence of Armed Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they face an imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning of not less than 12 strokes.
