The Police have arrested a 46-year-old woman who is believed to be involved in a case of cheating.
On 13 October 2016, the Police received a report from a woman who was purportedly cheated by the suspect who offered Apple iPad and iPhone 7 Plus model handsets at a heavily discounted price. Payments were made however the suspect did not deliver the said items.
Upon receipt of the report, officers from Tanglin Division followed up on the matter and arrested the suspect along Owen Road on 20 October 2016.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 21 October 2016 for the offence of Cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone found guilty of the offence may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to 10 years, and shall be liable to a fine.
