The Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.

 

On 6 September 2016, a female victim reported to the Police that she was molested by an unknown man along New Upper Changi Road.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect through the aid of CCTVs and arrested him in the vicinity of Chai Chee Avenue.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 21 October 2016 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
