Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tan Tin Wee (陈珍伟) will assume the Command of Bedok Division on 1 November 2016. He takes over from AC Moh Tser Loong Alvin (莫泽珑), who will be moving on to assume the appointment of Director, Planning and Organisation Department on the same day.  

 

AC Tan, 44, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 1997. He has held several key appointments including Commanding Officer of Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre, Head Operations & Training at Clementi Division, Assistant Director (Operations Management) of Operations Department, and Deputy Director of Public Affairs Department. He also served as the Deputy Director (Strategic Plans Group) during his secondment to National Security Coordination Secretariat (NSCS).

 

AC Alvin Moh, 35, was appointed Commander of Bedok Division on 8 July 2013. He joined SPF in 1999 and has held various key appointments including Commanding Officer of Jurong East Neighbourhood Police Centre, Head Operations & Training at Ang Mo Kio Division, and Deputy Director (Immigration and Registration) in the Policy and Operations Division, Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

During his tenure as Commander, AC Alvin Moh led Bedok Division to win the Best Land Division award consecutively in 2015 and 2016. It is an award that reflects the Division’s excellence in mission effectiveness, efficiency, and readiness. Besides the day-to-day work of safeguarding the community in the Bedok Division, AC Alvin Moh led his officers in major security operations, such as the 28th SEA Games, General Election 2015 and Singapore Airshow 2016.          

 

On the subject of his tenure, AC Alvin Moh said: “It has been my honour to serve in Bedok Division alongside my fellow officers, including our volunteer officers and national servicemen. Over the past three years, I have been humbled by their dedication to the SPF mission. On behalf of Bedok Division, I also thank our community for their unwavering support in working with us to keep our neighbourhoods safe and secure.”  

 

On behalf of Bedok Division, AC Tan thanked AC Alvin Moh for his strong leadership and wished him every success in his next appointment. AC Tan said: “AC Alvin Moh and the previous Commanders of Bedok Division leave big shoes to fill. Together, my officers and I will continue to enhance the strong Police-Community partnership and work together to make our community safer.”
