The Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty along Merpati Road.
On 11 October 2016 at about 1.24am, a 55-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by a man on her way back home.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of Police Cameras (PolCams), officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Kampong Ampat on 2 November 2016.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
