The Police have arrested a 22-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of house-breaking and theft by night along Boat Quay.

 

On 7 November 2016 at about 10.45am, the Police received a report that a restaurant located along Boat Quay had been broken into and an unknown amount of cash was stolen from the cash register.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Central Division established the identity of the suspect within 10 hours and arrested him along East Coast Road on the same day at about 8.45pm.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 8 November 2016 with the offence of House-breaking and theft by night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than 2 years and not more than 14 years.
