The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old man for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of Outrage of Modesty.
In the first case, on 4 November 2016 at about 5.37pm, the 18-year-old female victim lodged a police report informing that she had been molested by a man along Nanyang Circle. Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Jurong Division established the identity of the 31-year-old suspect and arrested him along Nanyang Circle on 18 November 2016.
In the second case, the 26-year-old female victim reported that a man had outraged her modesty in a lift at Dakota Crescent on 16 November 2016 at about 1.30pm.Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of Police Cameras (PolCams), officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the 32-year-old suspect and arrested him along Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 on 18 November 2016.
The two suspects will be charged in Court on 19 November 2016 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354A(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and with caning.
