The Singapore Police Force will be organising the Police Community Roadshows at five different locations across the island, over five consecutive weekends between 19 November 2016 and 18 December 2016.  Please refer to Annex A for details of the roadshows.

The first roadshow at The Canopy @ J Link was launched by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Member of Parliament for Yuhua SMC on 19 November 2016.

The roadshows aim to raise awareness on police work with the emphasis on three areas: Real Work That Matters, Equipped to Succeed, and Community Leaders.

Members of the public were able to view equipment used by the frontline policing officers upfront, and experience the investigative work done by police officers, including fingerprint dusting using the Fingerprinting Kit. They also learnt more about policing work through the various exhibitions and demonstrations. Please refer to Annex B for the highlights of the roadshows.

Visitors at the roadshows can also participate in a photography competition and look forward to winning limited edition Police Lego figurines.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Gerald Lim, Chairman of the Organising Committee for Police Community Roadshow, said, “The Singapore Police Force has been investing in our officers’ capabilities and strengthening partnerships with the community. Through this series of roadshows, we hope members of the public would have a better understanding of police work, and deepen our trust and working relationship. We would like to invite everyone to join us at the Police Community Roadshow.”
