The Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in several cases of theft from vehicles in Yishun.

 

On 31 October 2016, the police received information that a cash card was stolen from a van at the open carpark located at Block 709 Yishun Avenue 5.

 

Through extensive investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect. On 5 December 2016, the suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Block 912 Upper Thomson Road. The suspect is believed to be involved in other similar cases.

 

The subject will be charged in Court on 7 December 2016 with the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
